THE PROCESS:

  • A newly set eyebrow permanent make up procedure takes two appointments to complete - Initial Session and Touch-Up Session. In some cases, it could be a multiple-session process depending on the client's needs and skin condition. Permanent make up step-by-step: What to expect during your appointment?

  • 1. CONSULTATION:

Consultation is the most important step of the procedure. During the consultation, I will explain the permanent make up process and answer all your questions. Your medical history will be checked to assess your suitability for the treatment.
  • You will be asked to read and fill in the consent form. We will check what you like and how do you normally do your make up to get a better feeling of your style. We will discuss your desired result, whether you want a natural look or a more intense finish. We will discuss your expectations and you will be advised on how permanent make up can enhance your natural beauty features. Avoid alcohol and caffeine 1 day before treatment to minimize any oozing, bleeding or swelling. On the day of your arrival for a permanent make up treatment, please book a 2-3 hours time slot for the overall procedure.
  • 2. SHAPE THE COLOR:

I will design the enhancement first by drawing the shape and the colour on your skin with a traditional cosmetic pencil and using measuring tools to ensure symmetry and precision. This gives you the opportunity to visualize a new look and adjust it if needed.
  • 3. PRE - DRAWING EYEBROWS DESIGN:

Usually, I am using a dark brown pencil first to ensure that the shape can be adjusted if needed. This will not be representative in the final look since the color will not be the right one and the pencil itself gives you a solid look. It is needed just to get an overview of the brow shape and positioning of the work before we start the permanent treatment.
  • 4. THE INITIAL SESSION OF PERMANENT MAKE-UP:

If you are worried about pain, do not be too concerned. Though everyone has a different pain tolerance, the procedure is not painful as it may look like.
We always open sterile cartridges with a full safety membrane in front of the client and apply the pigment into the top layers of the skin. You will feel a slight stinging or scratching sensation in the pigmented area.
  • Usually, clients feel little vibration from the permanent make up machine. Many times we would not use a topical aesthetic on the first layer, as it changes the skin structure and the pigment does not take it well.
  • I would use a topical anesthetic cream ensuring you remain as comfortable as possible through the treatment most often after the first layer is done and if it is really needed to numb the skin.
Using the machine permanent make up methodology with an airbrushed look that involves pin-dot pigment application, it is a rather better way to build up additional color with less trauma to the skin. I would always show my clients their new look after the treatment is done and ask if they would like to make any adjustments before they leave
  • 5. PERMANENT MAKEUP TOUCH - UP:

All permanent make-up is a multi-session process, meaning, touch-ups are necessary.
Please remember it is your responsibility to contact us after 4-8 weeks post-procedure to schedule your Touch-Up Session.
  • Even if you have good retention after the initial procedure, it is important to have your first touch-up to help prolong the results. Client and artist will go over any concerns they may have had during the healing, fill in any areas that may have faded or simply go thicker or darker than the first time.
  • Please remember that this is a process like any other cosmetic procedure. Do not expect immediate results and please be patient. It will be a few weeks before you can fully appreciate the final results. On rare occasions, some clients may need a second Touch-Up Session. You must wait 4-8 weeks from your first Touch-Up Session to determine and schedule another one only if you need it.
